Contoh Teks:

1.     How to Sharpen a pencil Using Pencil Sharpener (How to do something)

First of all, hold the blunt pencil in the one hand and the sharpener in the other.

Then, put the pencil in the hole.

Next, twist the pencil.

After that, take it out to see if it has been sharpened.

If it hasn’t, start doing it again.

Finally, take the pencil out.

Now, you can use your pencil.

2.     How to Use the Touchpad of Your laptop

First, gently glide your finger across the touchpad to move the cursor.

Second, use the left and right buttons like a standard mouse.

Then, press the top portion of the center button to scroll upwards. Press the bottom portion of the center button to scroll downwards. This action is the same as using the wheel on a standard mouse.

3.     How to Make Mushroom Soup

Materials you need:

12 ounches mushrooms

4 eggyplks

½ teaspoon grated nutmeg

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

1½  teaspoons salt

6 tablespoons cream

¼ teaspoon pepper

2 pints chicken stock

Steps:

1.     Prepare mushromms and place in frying pan with melted butter.

2.     Then cover and cook for 10 minutes. Add stock.

3.     Next, you season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

4.     Bring to boil and then simmer for 30 minutes.

5.     You sieve and blend until smooth, with remaining ingredients.

6.     Then return to pan and heat. And you remove pan from storve and cool.

7.     Add beaten egg yolks and cream, stir gently. Do not boil.

8.     Then garnish with chopped parsley and finally you serve.

1. Siswa membaca contoh teks procedure yang ditampilkan, dibagi, atau dari buku.
2. Siswa membahas kapan dan di mana mereka mungkin membaca teks seperti itu.
3. Guru menjelaskan tujuan komunikatif dari teks procedure yang sedang mereka bahas.

Elaborasi (50 menit)

1)     Siswa membaca teks procedure yang sama lagi.

2)     Siswa bekerja dalam kelompok untuk membahas pembuat teks, kepada siapa teks ditujukan, dan isi teks.

3)     Siswa bersama guru membahas teks tersebut.

4)     Guru membuat kelompok asal, dan membagi teks procedure sejumlah anggota kelompok.

5)     Siswa berpisah dari kelompok asal dan membentuk kelompok ahli dan membahas teks procedure yang mereka dapat terutama mengenai:

a.     Tujuan komunikatif teks,

b.    Generic structure teks

c.     Language Features teks, dan

d.    Isi teks, yang meliputi: topik teks, gagasan utama suatu paragraf dalam teks tersebut, informasi rinci, informasi tertentu, dan makna kata-kata tertentu.

1)     Guru memberikan umpan balik positif dan penguatan terhadap keberhasilan siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas

2. Siswa mencari persamaan dan perbedaan antara teks procedure yang mereka pelajari  pada pertemuan sebelumnya, dengan yang akan mereka pelajari pada hari itu.

Elaborasi (60 menit)

1)     Siswa melanjutkan kerja kelompok: setiap anggota kelompok ahli kembali kepada kelompok asal mereka dan menjelaskan apa yang sudah mereka pelajari di kelompok ahli pada pertemuan sebelumnya. Setiap anggota kelompok mendapat tugas yang sama, yaitu menjelaskan kepada anggota kelomponya tentang materi yang menjadi tanggung jawabnya.

2)     Guru memberi beberapa pertanyaan berhubungan dengan teks procedure pendek yang sudah dipelajari oleh siswa pada hari itu:

a)     Menentukan tujuan komunikatif

b)    Menentukan gagasan utama

c)     Menyebutkan informasi rinci

d)    Menyebutkan informasi tertentu

e)     Mencari padanan dari kata-kata tertentu

Konfirmasi (15 menit)

1)     Guru memberikan umpan balik positif dan penguatan terhadap keberhasilan siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas

b.    Elaborasi (30 menit)

1)     Siswa dan guru membahas tugas terstruktur yang sudah dikerjakan oleh siswa di rumah.

2)     Siswa membahas topic dari teks, gagasan utama suatu paragraph, informasi rinci, informasi tertentu, dan makna kata-kata tertentu dari suatu teks procedure yang diberikan oleh guru pada pertemuan sebelumnya.

c.     Konfirmasi (5 menit)

1)     Guru memberikan umpan balik positif dan penguatan terhadap keberhasilan siswa dalam mengerjakan tugas
